Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Corbin Clay Investigations uses cookies, browser storage, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and similar website technologies.

1. What Cookies and Browser Storage Are

Cookies are small data files that a website or service provider may place in a visitor’s browser. Browser storage, such as local storage, is another method a website can use to remember information on a device.

Cookies and similar technologies may support core website functions, remember privacy choices, distinguish visits, measure website use, and evaluate advertising performance.

2. Essential Technology

Essential technology supports website delivery, security, form processing, fraud and abuse prevention, and the storage of your privacy preferences.

Essential functions remain active because the website may not operate correctly without them.

The cookie-consent system stores your selection in your browser’s local storage under a preference record used only to remember whether Analytics and Advertising measurement have been allowed or denied.

This preference remains in that browser until you change it, clear the website’s browser data, use a different browser or device, or the website updates the consent system.

3. Analytics Technology

If you allow Analytics, the website uses Google Analytics 4 to help understand general website use and performance.

Analytics information may include:

  • Pages and service descriptions viewed
  • General navigation and interaction events
  • Browser, device, and operating-system information
  • Approximate geographic and language information
  • Referring website or campaign information
  • Whether a consultation inquiry was successfully completed
  • Technical, security, and performance information

Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and pseudonymous identifiers when Analytics consent is granted.

4. Advertising and Conversion Measurement

If you allow Advertising measurement, the website may use Google Ads technologies to understand whether an advertisement contributed to a completed inquiry and to evaluate advertising performance.

Advertising measurement may process:

  • Google advertising and click identifiers
  • Campaign, keyword, referral, and landing-page information
  • Advertising-storage and attribution information
  • Whether a completed consultation request occurred
  • Consent status associated with the visit

The site does not intend to send case descriptions, investigative allegations, subject information, missing person details, infidelity details, legal strategy, or other narrative case information to Google Analytics or Google Ads.

5. Google Consent Mode

Google Consent Mode is used to communicate your Analytics and Advertising choices to the Google tag.

Before you make a choice, the website sets the following Google consent signals to denied:

  • analytics_storage
  • ad_storage
  • ad_user_data
  • ad_personalization

If you accept or customize the optional categories, those consent signals are updated to reflect your choices.

When storage consent remains denied, Google consent-aware technologies may still receive limited cookieless or consent-status signals used for security, basic measurement, attribution modeling, or system operation. These signals are designed not to rely on Analytics or Advertising cookies stored on the device.

6. Enhanced Conversions

Google Ads provides an optional feature called enhanced conversions for leads. If this feature is enabled, eligible contact information voluntarily submitted with a completed inquiry—such as an email address or telephone number—may be normalized and securely hashed before being transmitted for advertising measurement.

Enhanced-conversion information is intended to be processed only when appropriately configured and permitted by the visitor’s Advertising consent choice.

Case descriptions, investigative details, requested service narratives, and message text are not intended to be included in enhanced-conversion data.

7. Current Google Services

The website currently uses or is being configured to use the following Google services:

  • Google Analytics 4
  • Google Ads
  • Google tag and Consent Mode
  • Google Ads conversion measurement

Google’s processing of data is governed by its own privacy policies, terms, and data-use documentation.

8. Other Technical Information

Website-hosting, security, email, and infrastructure providers may process server logs, Internet Protocol addresses, browser information, requested files, timestamps, security events, and diagnostic information as necessary to deliver and protect the website.

These necessary operational processes are separate from the optional Analytics and Advertising categories controlled through the cookie banner.

9. How to Change Your Choice

You may accept, reject, or customize optional technologies when the cookie banner appears.

After a choice is saved, select the permanent Cookie Settings button near the lower-left corner of the website to reopen the preference controls.

You may also clear cookies and local storage using your browser settings. Clearing browser data may cause the consent banner to appear again.

10. Browser and Device Controls

Most browsers allow cookies or site data to be viewed, deleted, restricted, or blocked. Browser controls vary by provider and device.

Restricting all browser storage may prevent portions of the website from functioning correctly and may prevent the website from remembering your privacy preferences.

11. Policy Changes

This Cookie Policy may be updated when website technology, Google services, consent controls, business practices, or applicable requirements change.

An updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also cause the cookie banner to request a new choice.
